Day 1
arrival at Tbilisi airport, transfer and accommodation at the hotel;
 
Day 2

start Tbilisi city tour with Abanotubani - the one of the ancient districts in Tbilisi famous for its sulfur springs, visit Narikala fortress overlooking the city and the Kura River, Metekhi church and the bridge of beauty, walk to Shardeni street and visit Sioni Cathedral initially built in the 6th-7th centuries, Anchiskhati basilica an oldest Orthodox church in the city built in the early sixth century, the art museum including the treasury of golden fund. Drive to old capital city of Georgia - Mtskheta, visit historic and architectural complex of Jvari and Svetitskhoveli cathedral known as the burial site of Christ's mantle. Return to Tbilisi.

 
Day 3

drive to Kakheti region– the land of wine and vine-growing: fortified city of Sighnaghi, visit history museum and Bodbe monastery, via Gurjaani Kvelatsminda church drive to Tsinandali village, excursion in museum with the beautiful garden and its historic winery belonged to the famous Georgian poet Alexander Chavchavadze; continue trip to Alaverdi cathedral (XI c) founded by the Assyrian monk Joseph Alaverdeli, Shuamta monastery and ancient Academy which is located at the Ikalto monastery  (VI c) built during king David the Builder in the early 12th century. Return to Tbilisi via Gombori pass with the beautiful views.

 
Day 4

west Georgia: on the way to Kutaisi stop in Gori to visit Stalin museum and Uplistsikhe cave town containing various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages. Arrival in Georgia's second largest city Kutaisi and excursion to Bagrati Cathedral - 11th-century church regarded as a masterpiece in the history of medieval Georgian architecture, visit historic and architectural complex Gelati - also known as Gelati Academy founded by King David Aghmashenebeli (the Builder); short walk in Sataplia caves with stalactites and stalagmites located in the natural reserve. Night in Kutaisi.

 
Day 5

departure to the Black Sea coastal region Adjara, visit Batumi botanical garden which consists of nine floristic sectors and includes 2037 taxonomic units of ligneous plants, continue to the old town district and visit museum of history and archeology, drive to Gonio - a Roman fortification in the vicinity of the border between Georgia and Turkey; free evening in the seaside park called Boulevard. Night in Batumi.

 
Day 6

leisure morning at the sea and departure to balneological resort of Borjomi: tasting of Borjomi mineral spring water and stroll in the park, excursion in Museum of Local History located in Romanoff’s residence palace, town view from the hill of Borjomi Plateau and amusement park. Night in Borjomi.

 
Day 7

visit Sapara Monastery which includes high quality 14th century frescoes; Khertvisi Fortress build in the 2nd century BC and Khertvisi town which was the center of Meskheti region in the 10th-11th centuries; continue to cave town Vardzia – 13th storey city cut out of  solid rock. Night in Tbilisi.

 
Day 8

Military Georgian Road across the Caucasus: visit Ananuri castle complex which include fortress, two churches, an old watch tower, prison and civic buildings. Continue to famous ski resort Gudauri and via Cross Pass (2,395 m. alt.) arrival in Stephantsminda village, walk up to Gergeti Trinity church with beautiful view of Kazbegi mountain peak. Visit Sno fortress and return to Tbilisi.

 
Day 9

Lower Kartli region: drive to Bolnisi Sioni Cathedral built in 478-493 where you will see the inscriptions - the oldest historical documents of the Georgian alphabet; visit archaeological site in Dmanisi proclaimed as the birthplace of the first Europeans after 1.8 million years old early human fossils was found at Dmanisi. Return to Tbilisi. Free afternoon at the famous Sulphur baths and enjoy spring baths – where “water is hot without the aid of fire” – as Ibn Haukal wrote in the X c. Night in Tbilisi.

 
Day 10
